Seppätec Oy, operating in Kärsämäki, is the only one in the field in Finland specialized in installing harvester equipment on excavators and loaders. With the help of the harvester head, an ordinary excavator can be turned into a forest machine in a cost-effective way.
“This is a functional solution for farmers who already have an excavator or for earthworks contractors who can do forest work in the winter season. A newly installed harvester grapple also has a long service life, which brings operational reliability,” entrepreneur and CEO Juha Kyllönen explains.
Seppätec’s customer base consists of forest machinery entrepreneurs, earthworks contractors, and agricultural entrepreneurs all over Finland. In addition to the installation of harvester grapples, the company offers maintenance and spare parts service for forest machines and excavators.
Kyllönen has a long experience in forest contracting and working with machines. He can take advantage of that in product development work, where the goal is to develop control automation for excavators.
